- Future of Ergonomics articles and discussions - The Future of Ergonomics project will be introduced through a range of internal and external stakeholders to define the perceptions of Ergonomics and the future directions for the science. This will lead towards a series of sessions at the IEA 2009 Congress.
- Face mask project with WHO, ILO and other Associations - Extend our work with the WHO, ILO and other professional Societies to include Ergonomics in global projects. An example is to participate in reviewing the design and use of face masks following the problems with SARS and Avian Influenza.
- Workshops on Ergonomics in mining and agriculture are being planned for Africa and Brazil
- Discussion on the Masters Education programs and competencies - The goal is to promote the education of Ergonomics of at a post-graduate level by simplifying the IEA Masters guidelines to accommodate wide range of teaching needs. These include Distance Learning and e-Learning.
- Ergonomics Without Borders - IEA and the Foundation for Professional Ergonomics enter into a joint project to assist ergonomists in industrially developing countries.
- IEA Best Practices Initiative 2003-2006 - The IEA Best Practices Initiative was a project initiated by the IEA Development Committee to contribute to the development of IEA deferated and associated societies by sharing ideas and experiences about the needs, problems and solutions that societies have encountered.
- Ergonomics standards under development and review by the ISO - The objective is to discuss the working relationship on Ergonomics standards and future collaborations with the IEA.
