Objectives

• To improve and increase the ergonomics knowledge for application in design
• To improve the relationship between ergonomists and other actors involved in designproduct design, interaction design, engineering, marketing, management, sustainability, etc.
• To improve communicationand transfer of knowledge between the ergonomics fieldsfor workers and ergonomics for consumers (from avoiding pain to gaining pleasure)
• To improve knowledge transfer from ergonomics in design research to practice and tincrease feedback from the applications to the academic community.
• To improve the relationship between ergonomists and other actors involved in designproduct design, interaction design, engineering, marketing, management, sustainability, etc.
• To promote ergonomics in the design process.
• To promote ergonomics in design to the public at large.

Structure

To implement the above objectives, this TC creates Working Groups such as :
Cultural factors in ergonomics
Ergonomics tools for design process
Emerging issues: sustainable innovation
