Domains of Interest

  • Visual Ergonomics relating to activities/tasks: visually demanding work tasks, visual challenging leisure activities, etc
  • Visual Ergonomics relating to the human visual system, perception, illumination, optometry, ophthalmology, visual corrections etc. both for normally sighted persons and patients with subnormal vision
  • Visual Ergonomics relating to equipment/displays: display design, workstation design, etc
  • Visual  Ergonomics relating to environment: information design, illumination, etc
  • Relationship between visual ergonomics and musculoskeletal disorders

Objectives

  • To facilitate cross-disciplinary communication among professionals all over the world with an interest in Visual Ergonomics
  • To promote basic and applied ergonomic research as well as best ergonomics practices within the domain of Visual Ergonomics
  • To strive towards safe and effective work conditions and leisurely activities for people all over the world within the domain of Visual Ergonomics
  • To promote global collaboration among members and organizations within the field of Visual Ergonomics
  • Promoting education in visual ergonomics at high academic and practical level
