Introduction to the Chinese Ergonomics Society (CSE)
Founded in 1989, the Chinese Ergonomics Society (CSE), as the highest academic organization in China specializing in the field of ergonomics, the CES takes the responsibility of promoting the training and improvement of ergonomic personnel, the popularization and promotion of knowledge, academic research and innovation, and professional exchanges and cooperation in China and abroad.
The Chinese Ergonomics Society (CES) had its congress on August 26, 2023 and the new council of 126 members was elected. Prof. Fu Guo (Northeastern University) was elected as the president, and prof. Ruifeng Yu (Tsinghua University) was elected again as the secretary general.
Currently, the CES has around 3200 fully registered members and over 70 corporate members. The CES currently has 14 technical committees (divisions) and 11 elected vice presidents.
- Prof. Enrong Mao, from the China Agricultural University, newly elected vice president, is leading the human machine engineering technical committee;
- Prof. Mowei Shen, from Zhejiang University, newly elected vice president, is leading the cognitive ergonomics technical committee;
- Dr. Xingwei Wang, from Institute of Aeronautical Medicine, newly elected vice president, is leading the biomechanics technical committee;
- Prof. Zuhua Jiang, from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, newly elected vice president, is leading the management ergonomics technical committee;
- Dr. Xianhua Wang, from Sinosteel Wuhan Safety & Environment Protection Research Institute, reelected vice president, is leading the safety and environment technical committee;
- Prof. Xin Zhang, from China National Institute of Standardization, newly elected vice president, is leading the ergonomics standardization technical committee;
- Prof. Shulin Zhang, from Anhui Sanlian University, reelected vice president, is leading the transportation ergonomics technical committee;
- Prof. Lihua He, professor of Peking University, reelected vice president, is leading the occupational ergonomics technical committee.
- Prof. Shanguang Chen, from Tsinghua University, is leading the Human factors and ergonomics in complex systems technical committee;
- Prof. Chengqi Xue, from Southeast University, newly elected vice president, is leading the design ergonomics technical committee;
- Prof. Shuping Yi, from Chongqing University, newly elected vice president, is leading the Intelligent interaction and experience technical committee;
- Prof. Dongsheng Chen, from Jianxi Institute of Fashion Technology, is leading the smart wear and apparel human factors engineering technical committee;
- Senior engineer Hongjian Gu, from China Auto Information Technology Co., Ltd, is leading the automotive human factors and ergonomics technical committee;
- Prof. Shanfa Yu, from Henan Institute of Occupational Disease Prevention and Control, is leading the healthcare ergonomics technical committee.
The secretariat has four appointed vice secretary generals. They are Prof. Liang Ma, prof. Haizhe Jin, Senior researcher Xiaochao Guo, and Mr. Qichao Zhao.
