On behalf of the IEA officers and the Executive Committee, I would like to express thanks for the enormous effort, dedication, and resilience of all IEA members, federated and affiliated societies and their members, and regional networks, all of which were able to face the challenges brought by the pandemic in continuing the operation of the entire global structure of the IEA and maintaining all scheduled activities.
The entire IEA community worked hard to provide effective responses to the pandemic using all available knowledge in the area of HFE, as well as holding national and regional congresses. I also want to give special thanks to the invaluable work of the Association of Canadian Ergonomists and the entire IEA2021 organizing team. It was a tremendous challenge to go from a face-to-face Triennial Congress to a completely online conference, but everything was done with great skill and with an extraordinary result.
We hope and wish for a much better 2022 for the entire global HFE community and the definitive overcoming of this pandemic context and that we can do much more to fulfill the mission and objectives of the IEA in the coming years.
Warm regards to all,
