IEA2021 will be all-virtual!
Ian Noy, chair of IEA 2021, has made the following announcement:

Yesterday, we took the difficult decision to convert the Hybrid Congress to a fully virtual Congress. Due to the ongoing health crisis and widespread travel restrictions, it is now abundantly clear that British Columbia, Canada will not enter Phase 4 before the summer, rendering the continued planning of an in-person Congress untenable.

We will be communicating this news widely over the next few days so that authors, presenters and delegates will know what to expect. We ask that you bear with us as we make the necessary changes to the website and registration system. The registration fees for the virtual Congress are being finalized and will be communicated shortly. Registrants who paid for the in-person conference will receive a refund and those who registered for the virtual conference may be required to pay an additional amount due to the increased cost of delivering the full program online.

As we turn our attention to planning a fully virtual Congress, the great news is that we have developed a robust technical program with nearly 1000 presentations. We will provide additional information over the next week or two (www.iea2021.org) as we work through the transition implications. We appreciate your support and understanding.
