Holiday Wishes from the IEA Executive Committee
It is almost time to say good-bye to 2020, a year of unexpected challenges and turmoil across the globe. No one anticipated the disruption we experienced from a virus that turned into a pandemic. IEA responded to COVID-19 constraints by shifting to remote operations and conducting the first virtual IEA Council and IEA Executive Committee meetings. IEA2021 transformed to a hybrid congress. Human Factors/Ergonomics research and practice guided transitions to remote work and were critical to healthcare worker and patient safety. It has been a tough year but we met its challenges and are ready to move forward.
We anticipate a 2021 that is full of positive changes. HF/E researchers and practitioners have a huge role in providing solutions to change our world for the better in 2021.
The IEA Officers and Executive Committee wish you a peaceful, safe, and healthy holiday season. We look forward to seeing you at IEA2021, 13-18 June 2021 in Vancouver, Canada.
